Theology in Community
What is Trinity Institute?
Trinity Institute is a continuing theological education program founded in 1967 as an outreach of Trinity Wall Street, an Episcopal parish in New York City. The Institute’s annual National Theological Conference equips clergy and laypersons for imaginative and catalytic leadership. The conference presents emerging and inclusive theological perspectives and engages participants in inquiry, dialogue, and reflection. We welcome participants from all faith traditions.

We welcome those who wish to be married at Trinity Church or St. Paul's Chapel. We require four month's notice prior to a wedding, and at least one of the parties must be a baptized Christian. Premarital counseling is required by the canons of the Episcopal Church. In the case of a divorced person who wishes to remarry, permission from the Bishop is required. Under no circumstances should any announcement of a wedding at Trinity Church or St. Paul's Chapel be made until the couple has had an interview with the priest, the priest consents to officiate and our Statement of Understanding is signed and a deposit has been made.

The Pastoral Care team endeavors to make Trinity Wall Street a model of love, nurture, and care through ministries and activites that promote respect and mutual affection. Among these are small-group offerings, which help deepen faith while building relationships, and weddings, baptisms, funerals, pastoral visits and counseling, workshops and retreats, and by maintaining an online pastoral presence through blog posts and online prayer requests. Need to talk? Let someone know.
