Spotters cited Mr. Ng’s entrepreneurial gifts in creating the Episcopal Church’s first Jubilee Center in an Asian congregation. He has been a key community advocate in housing, employment, health, and technology access issues in Chinatown. Spotters described Mr. Ng’s commitment to lay ministry as a model for others. He is the president emeritus of the Episcopal Asian American Ministry Council. Mr. Ng current serves as Asia-Pacific officer for the Episcopal Church’s Office of Anglican and Global Relations.
Mr. Ng spent his fellowship in China studying Mandarin, a dialect growing in popularity in NYC’s Chinatown.
