Trinity participates in the diocesan All Our Children program by supporting local public schools with volunteer efforts including reading and Regents Exam tutoring.

The Chorister Outreach ministry matches youth chorus members with volunteer “godparents” who attend rehearsals and concerts and make phone visits that build community. The Outreach team also coordinates transportation chaperones that assist singers who would otherwise not be able to travel to rehearsals.

Material collections are scheduled throughout the year to support various ministries. Past collections have included school supplies, toiletries, clothing, yarn, and stationery. Volunteers are needed to sort and deliver collected items.

A time of fellowship for knitters, crocheters, and those who want to learn. The group creates prayer shawls, items for children of incarcerated persons, afghans, gifts for the
Christmas at Sea program of the Seamen’s Church Institute, and other items in response to requests from other ministries. Supplies are provided.

Lenten Meditations – a collection of reflections written by the Trinity
Wall Street congregation, staff, and community – provides an opportunity to deepen faith, nurture spiritual growth, and develop community bonds. Members of the committee solicit contributions from writers and artists and organize writing workshops for contributors.

Trinity supports prisoners and their loved ones through education, advocacy, re-entry, and work that prevents future incarceration. Activities include visits to prisons; writing to prisoners; and partnering with other organizations to lobby for prison reform and humane legislation.

St. Margaret’s House is an independent-living facility for elderly and disabled people located on Fulton Street near the South Street Seaport. This ministry welcomes volunteers to teach basic computer skills, visit the homebound, assist residents with shopping, and work in its thrift shop.
