Celebrating Britten

Trinity Wall Street Music and the Arts is proud to focus its fall programming on the versatile and prolific composer, Benjamin Britten, in honor of his 100th birthday.

This autumn is all about Benjamin Britten. In honor of the composer’s 100th birthday, nearly 100 works will be presented in over 50 events from September through January at Trinity Wall Street.  These works will be performed at liturgies, concerts and special events including Bach at One, Concerts at One, and Compline by Candlelight. Celebrated favorites and rarely-performed works of Britten’s repertory will be presented, led by Director of Music and the Arts, Julian Wachner, The Choir of  Trinity Wall Street and NOVUS NY. Other featured artists include tenor Nicholas Phan, cellist Matt Haimovitz, and The Trinity Youth Chorus.

We welcome those who wish to be married at Trinity Church or St. Paul's Chapel. We require four month's notice prior to a wedding, and at least one of the parties must be a baptized Christian. Premarital counseling is required by the canons of the Episcopal Church. In the case of a divorced person who wishes to remarry, permission from the Bishop is required. Under no circumstances should any announcement of a wedding at Trinity Church or St. Paul's Chapel be made until the couple has had an interview with the priest, the priest consents to officiate and our Statement of Understanding is signed and a deposit has been made.

The Pastoral Care team endeavors to make Trinity Wall Street a model of love, nurture, and care through ministries and activites that promote respect and mutual affection. Among these are small-group offerings, which help deepen faith while building relationships, and weddings, baptisms, funerals, pastoral visits and counseling, workshops and retreats, and by maintaining an online pastoral presence through blog posts and online prayer requests. Need to talk? Let someone know.
