A three-day event for artists during Advent.
Human beings need art in their lives. It can take different forms -- music, dance, painting, sculpture, writing, film -- and we may connect with it as dedicated practitioner, as delighted beholder or as curious newcomer, but we all need to be connected in some way with the generous flow of divine gifts that has enriched humankind since before history began. Come away to a beautiful spot with other artists and lovers of the arts this Advent, and take some time apart to live in an artists' colony. Use the time to work on your craft, or to learn more about it if it is new to you. Share your work with others, if you wish, but all sharing is optional. Talk with professionals about their work (and yours) and listen to what Holy Scripture has to say about those who create and the God who created us. This retreat will be facilitated by the Rev. Barbara C. Crafton.
Space is limited. To make a reservation please contact Anne Damassa at adamassa@trinitywallstreet.org or 212.602.0706. Cost is $120 for a double room, $170 for a single. Scholarships are available. A $50 deposit is required to secure your space.
