The colossal biblical oratorio is the debut of Trinity Wall Street's new Director of Music and the Arts, Julian Wachner. It comprises no fewer than twenty-eight massive double choruses, linked together by a few bars of recitative, with five arias and three duets interspersed among them. Trinity will perform the rarely heard or recorded 1756 version of the composition.
The 1pm preview performance features a different section of the composition than what will be heard at the 7:30pm concert. With the Trinity Baroque Orchestra, Robert Mealy, concertmaster.
The 1pm concert is free and open to the public. Purchase tickets to the 7:30pm concert and other Trinity Choir concerts here.
