We're glad you'll be joining us this Sunday at Trinity Church or St. Paul's Chapel. To give you an idea of what to expect, here's a snapshot of what Sunday morning looks like at our churches.
If you're an early morning person, consider attending the 8am service at St. Paul's Chapel. This is a quiet, simple celebration of Communion, with a brief homily. This is Trinity's only Sunday service with no music. The service usually lasts about 40 minutes. Fellowship hour, with coffee, pastries, and good company, follows the service at the west end of the Chapel.
St. Paul's comes alive with music from around the world during the 10am Holy Eucharist. This service is often attended by people from all over the world, too. Coffee and fellowship are available before the service.
Trinity welcomes people of all ages and diverse backgrounds every Sunday. Nursery Care, staffed by childcare professionals, is available from 8:45am - 1pm for infants - 4 year-olds in 74 Trinity Place.
Trinity Church holds a 9am Family Eucharist. Lasting less than an hour, the Trinity Choristers often sing at this service, which features diverse liturgical music and Holy Communion. It's a lively service for all ages, followed by Fellowship Hour across "the bridge" in the parish hall. Just follow the crowd up the north aisle or ask an usher to point you in the right direction.
Trinity's Adult Christian education, or Discovery, classes take place at 10am and 1pm. Courses are offered throughout the year.
Children's classes are also held at 10am. Children attend either Godly Play or Morning Glories, both of which encourage children to encounter God through music, arts and crafts, the churchyard, and lively discussions.
The 11:15am service is Trinity's principal Sunday liturgy. At this service, you can expect beautiful liturgical music sung by the professional Trinity Choir, incense, and preaching and ceremony in the best Episcopal tradition. Children can join the opening procession to a special Children's Chapel service; they return following the sermon. At the end of the service, visitors and congregation members gather at the front of the church to send "video postcards," greetings that are recorded and shared via the website.
Following the service, Fellowship Hour takes place in the Parish Hall across the bridge. Discovery Forums and small group gatherings for bible study or brunch often take place at 1pm, as well.
