Four instruments of unity tie together the Anglican Communion, connecting 76 million people in 164 countries:
- The person and office of the Archbishop of Canterbury,
- The Lambeth Conference, a meeting of bishops held every ten years,
- The Anglican Consultative Council, an assembly involving bishops, priests, and lay people, and
- Regular meetings of primates, archbishops, and presiding bishops from all provinces.
Increasingly, ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS
also create connections between faith leaders in distant locations.
