A Holiday Reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas

December 14, 2009
You're invited to a holiday reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas, at 4pm on Sunday, December 20, 2009. The reading will be held at The Church of the Intercession, located at Broadway and West 155th Street.

Tamara Tunie, actress and award-winning producer, leads the 98th annual reading of Clement Clarke Moore's famous poem. Lantern procession, wreath-laying, and reception immediately follows at Trinity Church Cemetery & Mausoleum, located across from the church.

Clement Clarke Moore (1779-1863) was the son of Dr. Benjamin Moore, the sixth rector of Trinity Parish. In 1822, as a Christmas present for his six children, Moore wrote the poem that became a classic for all to cherish. Moore is buried at Trinity Church Cemetery & Mausoleum, which is located across from The Church of the Intercession.
