Help All Our Children Get Ready for School

July 1, 2010

School may have just ended for the summer for students, but Trinity Wall Street's collections ministry and the All Our Children program are already thinking about the new school year in the Fall. This summer, Trinity will be collecting donated backpacks and school supplies through BackPACKS (People Acting in Community for Kid Success).

All Our Children, a program founded by the Diocese of New York and Trinity, fosters partnerships between churches, communities, and local public schools.

The backpacks and school supplies will go to low income and homeless students who attend P.S. 140 in Lower Manhattan or P.S. 315 in Brooklyn, as well as to children of incarcerated parents who are being served through the Children of Promise program.

Donations can be dropped off in collection baskets at Trinity Church, St. Paul's Chapel, and at 74 Trinity Place. You can also donate supplies and backpacks via amazon.com.

For more information, contact Margaret Wadsworth at mwadsworth@trinitywallstreet.org or call 212.602.0710.

This suggests that all notices about the BackPACKS project include specifics stating where and when to bring the backpacks for collection. I hope this is helpful. Thank you.
