The devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina is still being felt today by the people of New Orleans. There is a great need to rebuild especially in the run-down 9th ward section of the city. Literally, one hundred thousand people have been displaced from New Orleans and have not returned. Essential city services must likewise be restored and brought up to national standards in the field of health and education so that the children of the city can have a brighter future.
