The Messiah to Beat, Available Everywhere

November 30, 2009

Not only is the Trinity Choir concert of Handel's Messiah "a Messiah to beat" in New York City, according to the New York Times, you can experience the concert in a variety of ways: live, via webcast, or on the radio.

The concerts will be performed live at Trinity Church on Sunday, December 13 at 3pm and Monday, December 14 at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased here. You can also listen to Sunday's concert live on WQXR, 105.9fm, at 3pm. Monday's concert will be webcast on trinitywallstreet.org for live and on-demand viewing.

Handel's Messiah is a holiday tradition at Trinity Church that goes back to the famous oratorio's New York debut; Trinity was the site of one of the first performances of Messiah in the New World, in 1770. Be part of the history and celebration of this great work this Christmas!

Thank you for such a beautiful, inspiring performance -- absolutely glorious! Someday I hope to see it live -- I also love your Sunday morning "Music and More" from Trinity -- hope it can continue on WQXR.

That was the best "Messiah" , I have ever heard in my life. I´m a chorister myself and sung "The Messiah" several already under different conductors. But this performance was the absolut best one. How much Iwould have liked to have been there at least for the concert or even join the choir. But that seems to be a bit difficult as I´m living in Mainz,Germany. So , let me wish all of you a wonderful new year 2010 with a lot of wonderful music.. Thanks that you all exist and thanks to listen to the concert via internet. May God bless you all. Deepest thanks and cordial regards Juergen from Germany
