The New York Times called the Trinity Choir’s October 14 concert of Handel's Israel in Egypt "superbly performed." The concert was the start of the 2010-2011 choir concert season and was conductor Julian Wachner's debut since becoming music and arts director at Trinity Wall Street.

This is just the inspiration I needed to listen to today on this the 15th year passing of my late husband Harold, who loved music and played the violin. Never went into music as a career, although he wanted very much to. He became a dentist, but a very good one in spite of not choosing what he really wanted to do, play the violin.

I have only been able to watch the first 40 min thusfar, but can't resist this comment: WOW!~! (that's modern English for Bravo, I think). The performance was impeccable, and i also am compelled to notice that the shots were much more complex than I have seen in previous Trinity webcasts. It appears that the shots were better planned, the crew and musicians cooperative, and the end result was wonderful Please advise if you have pressed a DVD of this, and if so, purchase information. As always, I stand in awe of the wonderful service which Trinity Wall Street is providing by all of its web efforts. Although it is improbable that I will ever join Trinity's Congregation in person, your web outreach is an absolute joy to me. Thank you. wb

Bravi tutti! This singing and playing is incredibly stylish. Evidently I missed a fabulous concert. I'll try not to make that mistake again. Thank you, Trinity Choir, for making it to the other side of this transition in such superb form.

Well, Trinity, now you know what you've acquired in Julian Wachner. His old friends and fans from his Boston years know it too well. Good luck to you all. Dr. Burdick produced the first-class artistic foundation that Julian will now enhance to reach for even greater heights. And all the rest that makes Trinity such a unique place for open-minded Christianity stand at the horizon of new greatness. Just what we need now in a harsh world - something for truly greater good.

Thank you for the wonderful performance , the Trinity Choir and the Trinity Baroque Orchestra. Music as one of my interests, I certainly enjoyed watching this colossal biblical oratorio at home on line . it really reminds me of some very beautiful Concerts which I had attended and conducted by Owen Burdick , former director of music and arts of Trinity ( my church ) . I do hope Burdick is very well. God bless you all !

As stated by a Bostonian, I also had the privilege to work with Julian when he was the director of the Providence Singers in the '90's. Trinity is indeed fortunate and smart to have captured him! Our programs were always unique, interesting and beautiful choices from Julian creative brain. I cannot wait to view him from the 'other side' of the podium at Monday's Messiah.
