Totes for Teachers: Donate Classroom Supplies for Public Schools

January 26, 2012

Public school students lack basic school supplies, like pencils and paper, which they need to succeed. With recent cuts, teacher’s budgets for supplies have dwindled and many supplement the budget with their own money. Teachers often spend upwards of $500 per year on school supplies.

Trinity Wall Street is collecting essential classroom supplies for educators who teach at public schools in Lower Manhattan. Donations can be purchased at Amazon.com and shipped directly to Trinity, or dropped at collection baskets inside Trinity Church, St. Paul’s Chapel, or 74 Trinity Place.

The deadline for donations has been extended to March 16, 2012. For more information, contact Ariella Louie at alouie@trinitywallstreet.org or call 212.602.0714.

This collection is being made by All Our Children, a joint initiative of Trinity Wall Street and the Episcopal Diocese of New York that encourages churches to partner with local public schools.
