Last Tuesday, the Trinity Youth Chorus sang at a Benefit Dinner for the 9/11 Memorial in Lower Manhattan. The dinner was presented by Mayor Michael Bloomberg and emceed by comedian Stephen Colbert. The choir members accompanied the singer and actor, Josh Groban.

“They got to meet the mayor, Josh, and Stephen Colbert,” said Melissa Attebury, Coordinator of Music Education for Trinity Wall Street. “They were star struck. They are still talking about it.”

The dinner, held at Cipriani Wall Street, honored donors to the memorial. More than 4.5 million people have visited the memorial, which opened a year ago today. 28 members of the choir, from ages 7-18, sang “You Raise Me Up” with Groban.
