The Commemorative Military Boot is symbolic of standing firm, as did thousands of Soldiers and Airmen that participated in the rescue and recovery efforts at Ground Zero.
They worked tirelessly in recovery operations, providing manpower in the form of “bucket brigades” sorting through the debris by hand.
The U.S. Navy deployed a hospital ship to Pier 92 in Manhattan. There the crew members provided food and shelter for more than 10,000 relief workers, and its medical resources were also used to provide first-aid.
The “Work Boot” key ring has a unique industrial swivel with a lobster claw, making it removable, in a silver tone finish.
