Stravinsky Festival: The Complete Sacred Works 04.28.13

Trinity Wall Street offers a three-day (April 26-28) festival celebrating the late sacred works of Igor Stravinsky (1882-1971), ranging from his famous Symphony of Psalms to his last masterpiece, Requiem Canticles. Performed by The Choir of Trinity Wall Street, NOVUS NY, and other musical guests, all conducted by Director of Music and the Arts, Julian Wachner. Prompted by the hundredth anniversary of the riot-inducingLe Sacre du Printemps, the festival will explore the works that pushed the limits of musical form and is still shaping generations of artists across every medium. Today: Anthem; Cantata; Mass; Symphony of Psalms; With the Trinity Youth Chorus. Proceeds from the festival will directly support Trinity Wall Street’s Faith in Action initiatives within public schools in Lower Manhattan.* • Tickets for Saturday's concert are $50 general admission; $20 students/seniors.
