This service is participatory, interactive, musical, family friendly (40 minutes), and inspirational. Young children, youth, and adults will find something that touches their experience. This service answers a parent's question: "How on Earth can I talk about the crucifixion with my young child – this event so important, yet so frightening?" By engaging children in an "up-close" lesson using colorful crosses from El Salvador, children will notice Jesus painted with arms open to the world, surrounded by communities at work and play. Children and their families will be invited to think about how, even near the end of his life, Jesus never stopped his ministry to the outcast, never stopped forgiving, never stopped giving himself in love – and how communities from then until now, offer themselves in love for each other, continuing His holy work. With easy-to-learn multi-cultural music and community singing led by the Trinity Youth Chorus.
