At a ceremony held in Riverside Church, Luke Johns, Senior Construction Project Manager for Trinity, accepted the Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award for work done at St. Paul’s Chapel.

The Moses Awards are the highest awards given by the New York Landmarks Conservancy for outstanding preservation. More than 500 people attended the ceremony.

The conservancy awarded the parish for its exterior work on St. Paul’s Chapel restoring masonry, windows, and work on the historic steeple, including the clock and weathervane. It also recognized landscaping that includes “visitor-friendly pathways that respect the historic grave markers” in the St. Paul’s Chapel Churchyard, which receives thousands of visitors every day.

The Rev. Phil Jackson, Vicar, also attended the ceremony.
