The Rev. Lyndon Harris, associate for ministry at St. Paul's Chapel, is leaving the parish to complete his doctoral studies at New York's General Theological Seminary.
Fr. Harris has been with us since 2001, when he was making jazz and movies into theological fare at St. Paul's.
After the destruction of the World Trade Center, Fr. Harris helped lead the ministry to rescue and recovery personnel. The September 11 attacks forced the cancellation of the ministry to young people which Fr. Harris was to have headed up.
At a special staff farewell function, a number of colleagues paid tribute to Fr. Harris.
He received a standing ovation from Trinity's congregation on the Sunday his departure was announced.
We will miss you, Fr. Harris!
