News: St. Paul's Restoration Update

Dear Parish Community,

As you are aware, St. Paul’s Chapel is undergoing an extensive restoration to the historic, 250-year-old building. Understanding the importance of St. Paul’s to our worshipping community and visitors alike, we have worked to keep the chapel open during this process. However, after extensive conversations with our contractors about safety, we now have decided to close the Chapel temporarily until restoration is finished. This temporary closure will allow the work to be accomplished in the safest possible manner.

Importantly, please know that regularly scheduled worship services will take place in the churchyard. In case of inclement weather, they will be held across the street from the chapel at 14 Vesey Street. Compline will be held at Trinity Church.

I invite you to keep up with the progress of this significant restoration through articles such as this one from the New York Times, as well as on trinitywallstreet.org.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we move forward.

Faithfully,

Phillip Jackson
Vicar, Trinity Church Wall Street
