Faith Formation & Education Overview

Trinity Church Wall Street’s educational programs are grounded in Episcopal tradition while giving participants the opportunity to consider challenging questions and deepen their faith in community. Trinity offers classes, workshops, lectures, retreats, and other events for all ages.

Growing in Faith Together

At 10am on Sundays, beginning in the fall 2018, parishioners of all ages are invited to learn together as part of Whole Community Learning, an intergenerational approach to Christian education. The program incorporates sessions where all ages share activities together and sessions where participants meet by age group and study similar themes. Trinity provides resources to support family conversations at home to encourage mutual growth.

Adult Education

From September to June, in addition to Whole Community Learning, opportunities are available for adults interested in further study including a weekly discussion group on Sundays at 10am called The Gospel, Times, Journal, and You; and The Broad Way, a weekly Bible study held on Mondays at 1pm. Twice a year, adults seeking Adult Baptism or Confirmation, Reception, or Reaffirmation of Faith in the Episcopal Church, or those interested in learning more about what it means to be an Episcopalian, are invited to attend Foundations.

Children, Youth, and Families

Children, Youth, and families are encouraged to participate in the rich and varied opportunities for worship, education, service and fellowship. These include a 9:15am worship service on Sunday mornings designed for children and families, intergenerational Christian learning for all ages at 10am Sundays, nursery care, and family events throughout the year. The goal of Christian spirituality is to recognize and respond to the continual interior movements of the Spirit, for the Spirit will always lead us toward greater union with Christ and greater love and service of God and others.—Richard Hauser

Trinity Talks

Trinity has hosted conferences, talks, and panels with some of the world’s foremost theologians, activists and public intellectuals. The aim is to engage participants in fruitful dialogue and reflection about how theology relates to vital issues such as racial justice, the environment, and economic inequality. Many of these talks are available for streaming, supported by discussion guides, reading lists, topical videos, and other resources. Special presentations continue to be scheduled and will be added here as available. Learn more.
