Bach at One
The Choir of Trinity Wall Street and Trinity Baroque Orchestra offer a weekly service featuring the music of Johann Sebastian Bach's cantatas. Conducted by Julian Wachner, Trinity's Director of Music and the Arts, these services present Bach's monumental cantata output in a liturgical context, returning these miniature oratorio-like works to their original purpose.
This fall, as part of Trinity Wall Street’s “Celebrating Britten” festival, many Bach at One services will feature at least one work by the versatile and prolific composer, Benjamin Britten, in honor of his 100th birthday. For more information about the festival, visit trinitywallstreet.org/britten.
Bach at One is free, open to all, and offers a perfect lunch-hour time of reflection and meditation at the beginning of the work week.
