Discovery— Reflections on Race: Our Stories
This Week: “What We Talk about When We Talk about Race”
Definitions, culture, our stories.
Facilitated by Michael Hall, member of the Anti-Racism Committee for the Diocese of New York
Racial differences and structural inequalities in our society can obscure our shared humanity and keep us from seeing God in the face of the other. Yet, “We cannot see God without others,” as Trinity’s rector, the Rev. Dr. William Lupfer, observes. Each Sunday morning in Lent, Discovery will host a series of thought-provoking presentations and facilitated discussions. The goal is to help us deepen our friendships, particularly across racial lines, by coming to a better understanding of one another’s experiences. All are invited – and needed!
Sundays, 10:00-11:00 am
Manning Room, Trinity Church (former Trinity Museum, up the south aisle, through the door)
