Dos Worlds: A Reading
Dos Worlds is a multimedia piece incorporating movement, theatre, and film that explores the story of rejection and the search for transcendent unity between people who have lost something they believe they will never regain. On stage, a woman, haunted by the voice of her rapist, circles around the blind pianist who has become isolated and depressed since the loss of his sight. He longs for someone to read to him. After confronting the voice and breaking his isolation, she allows him to embrace her, and he asks her to read to him. The story also examines how their present world compares to their past.
