The Intersectionality of All God’s Children: Who Do You Say I Am?

Jesus asked Peter “Who do you say I am?” and especially in today’s society, people of good faith are increasingly asking this same question. Join us as we explore how the social categories of race, ethnicity, gender, class, ability and other forms of differences inform your own faith walk and life in church. This contemplative retreat day will offer you support to create a sacred space in your life and provide prayer, journaling, creative exercises, periods of silence and reflection, and interactive sharing. Come away renewed, revitalized, and reaffirmed.

Led by Westina Matthews, Ph.D.,adjunct professor for the Center for Christian Spirituality at General Theological Seminary where she teaches contemplative spiritual direction. A former member of Trinity Church Wall Street, she is an author, spiritual director, retreat leader, and inspirational speaker whose practice fosters contemplative living through “holy listening.”

$25 includes lunch.

To RSVP or for more information, email christianformation@trinitywallstreet.org.
