Living the Values Retreat: Stewardship
Take some time away from the daily busyness to contemplate Trinity's core values—faith, integrity, inclusiveness, compassion, social justice, and stewardship—and how you express these values in your everyday living.
We'll begin with thought-provoking teaching, then spend time in prayerful introspection and quiet exercises with poetry and art, meditation, and natural woodland beauty, all fueled by delicious, wholesome farm-to-table meals.
You'll come away renewed and inspired, and ready to live your values more fully in the world.
Stewardship in Song, Food and Nature
Explore the meaning and significance of stewardship in our faith while connecting with the Spirit moving through the New England woods in late autumn.
Nourished by a variety of simple, healing meals made with ingredients from the retreat center’s farm, participants will be invited to delve deep into stewardship’s role in modern life through the music of Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, John Coltrane, U2, Evie Tornquist, Kendrick Lamar, Marvin Gaye, Woody Guthrie, Eddie Vedder, and other contemporary artists.
The retreat also offers an opportunity to learn the principles of walking meditation and how a kitchen serves as a second altar in a contemplative community. — Joseph and Heidi Rose
