CANCELED: Brandenburg Concertos
With a nod to the success of the former early-music Twelfth Night Festival, Trinity is embarking on the new annual 12 Nights Festival, this year featuring 16 free early music concerts in 12 days. Exemplifying Trinity’s reputation for cutting-edge performances of both new and old music, the 12 Nights Festival programming will alternate between the two each year. Programming in 2020 includes Rameau’s opera Dardanus staged by director James Darrah, concerts of Handel’s Deborah, a complete cycle of the Beethoven String Quartets performed by the Attaca Quartet in celebration of his 250th birthday, and more.

J. S. Bach – Complete Brandenburg Concertos
Praised for their “dramatic vigor” (The New York Times), the virtuosos of Trinity Baroque Orchestra perform Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos. As we approach the tricentennial of this beloved collection, these concertos remain a celebrated example of Bach’s imperishable genius. This is a rare opportunity to hear all six of these iconic masterpieces performed on historic instruments, under the direction of Julian Wachner.
