The Trinity community near and far celebrated Ascension Day on Thursday. Present were friends of Trinity from as far as Florida and Madagascar. 

The day represents an anniversary for the old brownstone building. Trinity Church was dedicated on Ascension Day in 1846, at time the tallest building in New York. Now, surrounded by much taller buildings, it is still an international center of community and ministry.

At the April Vestry meeting, the Vestry authorized the Call Committee to begin its work for the selection of the 18th Rector of Trinity Wall Street.
