HOW TO BE A PARTNER SITE

Overview

Trinity Institute takes place at Trinity Church in New York City, but the conference is also broadcast via the internet to a network of Partner Sites (churches, seminaries, and other organizations) around the country and the world. Becoming a Partner Site is a great way to bring Trinity Institute’s world-class speakers to your local community to engage in discussion about the conference topic.  Webcasts consist of the conference keynote addresses and panel discussions, and Trinity Institute provides materials for Partner Sites to host their own reflection groups and film screening. Partner Sites can host the conference concurrent with the New York conference or stream it on-demand at another time and/or date convenient for the location.

Technical Requirements

The only technical requirements for hosting the conference are a web connection, projection capability, and speakers. Trinity provides full technical support before and during the conference. Before the conference, Trinity Institute’s tech support staff will help you view a test webcast to make sure your equipment is up to date and running smoothly. They’ll also be able to answer any technology questions you have. In addition to technical equipment, Partner Sites must provide a meeting space and reflection group facilitators. Guidelines and an instructional video for facilitators are provided.

Yearlong Curriculum

TI provides your church with plenty of adult faith formation material, beyond the conference, that can be used all year long. Video content (additional to the conference), featuring TI2015 experts, can be used throughout Advent to prepare and in Lent to go deeper, making economic inequality a year-long formation theme in your location. Check out the Yearlong Curriculum page at the beginning of Advent 2014 for this curriculum.

Recruiting Partner Site Attendance

To help Partner Sites recruit attendees, Trinity Institute offers a promotion toolkit, which includes template advertisements, press releases, posters, eblasts, and other materials that will help you advertise the conference to potential attendees in your area. It is best to start promoting the conference several months ahead of when you plan to screen it. Although Trinity Institute does not charge your site’s attendees, you may choose to do so to offset some of your costs to present the conference. Click here for a How-To Promote TI2015 guide and to download the promotional toolkit items.

Is There a Partner Site in Your Area?

If you’d like to join as a Partner Site, first check here to see if there is a Partner Site in your area. Having multiple partner sites in close proximity can pose attendee recruitment challenges.
