Values in Action: Teaching Kids What Matters

Talk by Erin Wathen, author of More Than Words: 10 Values for the Modern Family

Adults, especially parents and educators, are invited to this talk by author, blogger, pastor, and award-winning preacher, the Rev. Erin Wathen.

 

January 27, 10am-3pm | St. Paul’s Chapel

Families are invited to explore their values and how to put them into action with workshops, storytelling, a puppet show, music and service activities.

Activity Stations include:

  • Packing a Brown Bag Lunch for those in need
  • Painting a Kindness Rock to inspire others
  • Assembling school supplies for kids in a refugee camp
  • Decorating valentines for a Random Act of Kindness
  • Making a book bag for families at Kianga House, a shelter for mothers and children
  • Creating a Senior Surprise Box for elders in our community
