Community Conversation: Charette #1

February 28, 2015

You’re invited to participate in a community conversation about the mission of Trinity and its impact on a new parish building at 68/74 Trinity Place. Your voice is important to this process, which will last six months. Parishioners, staff, Trinity partners, and members of the Lower Manhattan community are all invited to take part in this process.

Before we begin: On February 15, in Trinity Church, St. Paul’s Chapel, and the Parish Center at 2 Rector St., reflection boards will be unveiled and will stay up through February 28. On these boards you can share thoughts and reflections on the parish mission and core values (guiding questions will be provided). What you write on the boards will help shape the major themes for the first charette, or gathering, at St. Paul’s Chapel on February 28. Be sure to visit the boards and share your thoughts!

Charette #1
10am-4pm, February 28, St. Paul’s Chapel
A charette is a gathering of all stakeholders in a project where diverse thoughts, hopes, and ideas are used to generate solutions. This community gathering will be led by the Rev. Dr. William Lupfer and Trinity’s architects from Pelli Clarke Pelli, who will use your ideas to create a mission-focused design for a new building at 68/74 Trinity Place. Stay tuned for more information on how the charettes will unfold. Dates and times for additional charettes will be announced soon.
