Concerts at One - Malcolm Merriweather

Concerts at One provides the Lower Manhattan community with the finest professional vocal and instrumental performances of emerging and established artists and features a diversity of music styles, from jazz to classical. The series provides a weekly musical respite for neighborhood residents, downtown workers, tourists, and music lovers.

This week:
“Freedom Concert” followed by a forum on Freedom. 

Modeled after the "freedom concerts" presented by the late Coretta Scott King throughout her leadership in the civil rights movement, this concert will present poetry and prose along with a wide range of classical and contemporary music. Artists performing: Joe Chappel, Charles Duke, Brennan Hall, James Jackson Jr., David Hurd, Korland Simmons, Byron Sean, and Jonathan Woody. Malcolm Merriweather, director.
