EAST: Feminism and Christianity in Korea

“EAST” is the Episcopal Asian Supper Table. We are Episcopalians of Asian descent living in the Metro New York area, seeking to live out our faith with authenticity, spiritual depth, and cultural integrity. We host a gathering each month that consists of spiritual reflection, prayer, music, fellowship and food. All are invited. This evening’s guest speaker is Dr. Song Woo Hur, an expert on feminist politics and women’s movements in South Korea. Her presentation is titled, “A Korean Feminist’s Wrestling with God: Living with Feminism and Christianity in Korea.”
