The Helsinki Chamber Choir

The Helsinki Chamber Choir is one of Europe's leading professional choirs, particularly renowned for its performances of contemporary music. On its first North American tour, the choir will give the world premiere of a major new work by the young Latvian-American composer Eugene Birman, to a libretto by Scott Diel.

State of the Union takes a provocative and uncompromising look at some of the urgent issues facing the world today. The first half of the program will consist of favorite classics from Finland.
