Keep It Reel Documentary

July 16, 2019

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing, Trinity Church Wall Street hosted Keep It Reel: Teens Facing Race Through Film, a filmmaking project and festival for local students. Using cinema to explore the intersections of race, morality, and their own lived experiences was a powerful medium for these public high school students in District 2, New York City’s most segregated school district. This short film by Trinity's Youth Documentary Team provides a behind-the-scenes look at the filmmaking process and final products. Watch all six short videos at trinitywallstreet.org/keepitreel.
