Prayer Counted As Incense, Incense Counted As Prayer

The burning of incense dates back to the dawn of recorded history and shows up in the practices of many religious groups including, to name a few, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Taoism, Shinto, Hinduism, and indigenous faiths. And since incense gets more than one hundred mentions in the Bible, it’s not surprising that incense remains an element in worship in many churches today, including Trinity Church Wall Street.
