Remembering Marian McPartland

The March 20 centennial of the birth of jazz pianist Marian McPartland (1918-2013) is a reminder of McPartland’s connection to Trinity Institute.  During the 2009 theological conference, titled “Radical Abundance,” McPartland, an outspoken environmentalist, performed “A Tribute to Rachel Carson,” which McPartland had written to honor the author of the ground-breaking book “Silent Spring.” Additionally, feel free to watch Marian McPartland’s 2009 performance at Trinity Institute
