Tuesday Sermon, The Rev. Dr. Mark Bozzuti-Jones: "What Happens When We Love"
The preeminent mandate from John 15, “love one another as I have loved you,” reminds us today that we have a lot of work to do in America. “There is no getting through this,” preaches the Rev. Dr. Mark Francisco Bozzuti-Jones, “without naming the pain and the frightening reality of what has been part of our history since the beginning. Love calls us to name the pain.” May God give us the grace and courage to confront our past, face our reality, and be bold in our love. When we proclaim God’s love, “we will claim who we are.” The readings are Philippians 2:1–4 and John 15:9–17.
