Tuesday Sermon, The Rev. Elizabeth Blunt, “Morning By Morning New Mercies I See”
Today’s resurrection story is one of only four that appear in the Gospels. Each time, life is both a sign meant to shore up our faith in Jesus, and a concrete expression of the profundity of God’s compassion for humanity. “Every day we can see myriad expressions of this love that God scatters in our lives,” the Rev. Elizabeth Blunt preaches, if we only learn to look. The readings are 1 Corinthians 12:12–14, 27–31 and Luke 7:11–17.
