Wednesday Sermon, The Rev. C. Alfred Loua: "Early Christian Women: Models of Conviction"
In today’s sermon, the Rev. C. Alfred Loua celebrates the undivided devotion of early Christian woman, including 1st century saint Thecla of Iconium. Thecla’s courage in the face of danger, persecution, and death inspired other female disciples to defend women’s freedom to teach and baptize. Their actions remain a model of faithful conviction today. The scriptures are Judges 4:16b–24 and Luke 24:1–11.
