Psalms 4: Powerlessness and Redemption
Encompassing nearly one thousand years of musical settings by 150 different composers, this unique collaboration by four world-renowned choirs explores the universal and transcendental themes of the Book of Psalms. From medieval chant to new commissions by David Lang and Nico Muhly, the 150 psalms are spread out over twelve concerts, each with a unifying theme, such as justice, suffering, power, and powerlessness.
Performed as a part of the White Light Festival 2017 presented by Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
