Sunday Sermon, The Rev. Kristin Kaulbach Miles: "Finding Companionship Through Reverence"

Companionship has taken on a whole new meaning in our pandemic reality. During our virtual conversations, advice, analysis, and talk now seem to replace silence, reverence, and even healing. “For Paul, freedom in Christ means the radical freedom to identify with others in their otherness,” preaches the Rev. Kristin Kaulbach Miles. “Healing comes from being seen, touched, acknowledged, and heard.” Are you showing reverence for others? Or treating them as a problem to be solved? The readings are Isaiah 40:21–31; Psalm 147:1–12, 21c; 1 Corinthians 9:16–23; and Mark 1:29–39.
